On October 22, 2026, the international technology company Körber AG announced an investment acquiring a stake in NAiSE GmbH, a Germany-based software firm founded in 2017 that has operated self-funded until now and specializes in vendor-agnostic fleet management for intralogistics. This strategic partnership elevates an existing collaboration, enabling customers worldwide to orchestrate mixed vehicle fleets of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from different vendors, and manually operated industrial trucks on a shared control layer across production and warehouse environments. Körber strengthens its fleet management offerings within its Business Area Supply Chain while expanding its software portfolio; NAiSE retains operational independence under its founding team of Kai Przybysz-Herz, Robert Libert, and Raphael Kusumoto, with Körber serving as a strategic investor and sparring partner to support international scaling.
NAiSE’s Fleet Management Software (FMS) and broader Intralogistics Platform connect disparate vehicles and systems via a standardized integration layer configurable with integrated tools, independent of the underlying Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Execution System (WES), or Warehouse Control System (WCS). As warehouses and factories deploy larger multi-vendor fleets, isolated standalone solutions limit efficiency, transparency, and scalability; NAiSE addresses this by unifying Fleet, Traffic, Order, and Warehouse Management modules for dynamic task coordination, real-time traffic optimization, and seamless material flow. The platform supports mixed environments, allowing AGVs following fixed paths, AMRs with dynamic SLAM-based navigation, and human-operated equipment to collaborate under one intelligent command center.
Dr. Helena Garriga, Körber Executive Board Member responsible for Supply Chain, highlighted NAiSE’s vendor-agnostic, standardized, and field-proven approach as meeting current market needs for end-to-end automation solutions. Przybysz-Herz noted the partnership respects independence while providing Körber’s industrial expertise and global network for growth, remaining open to other integrators and manufacturers.
Joint plans include developing new use cases such as humanoid robotics in intralogistics. This addresses key scalability hurdles in modern automation, where multi-vendor fleets create operational debt through custom integrations; a unified orchestration layer optimizes workflows holistically, treats assets equally regardless of brand, reduces software overhauls, and maximizes ROI on capital investments. For operators facing labor shortages and dynamic demand, it enables higher productivity, adaptive routing, and data-driven decision-making across production logistics and related applications without vendor lock-in.
